(b) Identity & KYC Data �?for workers undergoing professional onboarding, we collect date of birth, government-issued identity information, professional portfolio materials, and bank or virtual card settlement details required for financial compliance. (c) Usage Data �?pages visited, task claims, project interactions, session metadata, and IP address logs for security and fraud prevention. (d) Communication Data �?messages exchanged within the Packwork platform, dispute statements, and system notifications. (e) Payment & Transaction Data �?wallet balances, transaction records, coupon redemptions, withdrawal requests, and payment gateway references. We collect this data to operate, secure, and improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to deliver and improve Packwork's services: (a) Account & Authentication �?to verify your identity, prevent unauthorized access, and maintain session security across devices. (b) Task & Project Lifecycle �?to match workers with tasks, track project progress, process submissions, manage disputes, and facilitate client-worker communication. (c) Payments & Settlements �?to process escrow payments, calculate platform fees, issue payouts to verified workers via virtual card or bank transfer, and maintain financial audit records. (d) Notifications �?to send you in-app alerts, email updates about task status, interview schedules, dispute outcomes, and system announcements. (e) Compliance & Fraud Prevention �?to fulfill KYC/AML obligations, detect fraudulent activity, enforce platform policies, and respond to legal requests. (f) Platform Improvement �?to analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns for product development. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to marketing third parties.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

Packwork does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances: (a) Between Platform Participants �?your professional profile (nickname, bio, profession, language) is visible to clients who post tasks you may claim. Your full legal identity is never shared publicly. (b) Payment Processors �?settlement data is shared with licensed payment gateway providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen) solely to execute transactions. These providers operate under their own privacy frameworks. (c) Legal Obligations �?we may disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Packwork, its users, or the public. (d) Service Providers �?infrastructure, email delivery, and security vendors operating on our behalf under strict data processing agreements. All third-party sharing is governed by contractual data protection obligations consistent with applicable law.

4. Data Retention & Security

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Financial records and KYC documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years to comply with anti-money-laundering regulations. You may request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to retention obligations. Packwork employs enterprise-grade security measures including: end-to-end TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, multi-factor authentication support, role-based access controls, automated anomaly detection, and regular third-party security audits. While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is 100% impenetrable, and we encourage all users to use strong, unique passwords.
